New year, new me, right? Well, it’s not really that dramatic. In fact, the easier the change, the more likely it will stick (according to studies and smart people giving us advice). I used to make tons of resolutions and I would forget what was even on the list by February. Now, I make plans and goals. And, I put together a process to achieve it.

All of those goal-making courses and articles recommend that we write our goals down and use “I will” statements. They should also be positive. So, don’t do the whole “I will not eat sugar.” Rather, “I will feed my body the food it needs to feel its best.” For me, that’s sugar-free for sure. Also, I found out that too much of the other stuff, like dairy, gluten, processed food, and alcohol, makes me feel gross and low-energy. My body can handle all of the food but I don’t feel great if it’s every day. I found all of this out when I did Whole30 last August. My body felt amazing and I had so much energy by the end. I didn’t get “tiger blood” but I did feel great and didn’t rely on Diet Coke or sugar to keep my energy up. I want to start the year off right and feeling my best so I’m jumping back on the Whole30 bandwagon and cleaning up my diet.

But, you don’t have to do Whole30 or any other diet to feel great. Just eating cleaner with lots of healthy food will give your body the nutrients you need. And, drink water. So, much water. 🙂

Clean eating doesn’t mean shakes and broth or just raw fruits and veggies. It means eating delicious food without all of the extras like processed food and preservatives.
