I absolutely love all of my takeout favorites. I love a good Crab Rangoon and General Tso’s Chicken on a Friday or Saturday night. What I miss most is ordering it with a group of friends and having a movie night on the weekends. Those were the days, as my grandmother used to say. We will once again be able to take part in our traditions and until then we have to make new ones.

It’s amazing how much our lives and our memories happen around food and a good bottle of wine (or a cocktail!). Those are the nights that we miss the most. One of my new traditions is to make my own healthy takeout recipes at home. It gives me a little taste of my “normal” life while still doing my part and staying home.

Plus, they are easy and make my weekend nights fun. I still try to order takeout occasionally to support local businesses during this time but it’s better for my budget and my jeans if I don’t order it as much as I want.
