Smoky Chipotle Guacamole

Smoky Chipotle Guacamole

Right now I’m sitting in front of my laptop saying Smoky Chipotle Guacamole out loud with my best attempt at a Mexican accent. You should try this. Seriously, you should. I think it’s impossible to do without laughing!

Smoky Chipotle Guacamole

I swear I could eat guacamole everyday. A big pile of mashed up avocados and some tortilla chips or crackers is my idea of a perfect quick and healthy go-to lunch.

Smoky Chipotle Guacamole

There are lots of recipes out there for guacamole but this one is by far my favourite. There’s a little bit of heat from the red chilli (if you choose to add it) and mild smoky flavour that is the perfect balance to the rich, creamy avocados. The liquid smoke is the secret ingredient here; definitely don’t leave it out.

You caught me! Truth is I love them both. This recipe is my favourite for dipping and the Aji Guacamole is my favourite for things like tacos and burritos as it is a little more like a sauce. I guess I have 2 favourite guacamoles :)

Yep, I’m with you, I could eat guacamole (or just avocados) every day. Yesterday, I was out to lunch with family, and I ordered a chicken sandwich with avocado on it. Then I was all like “hey…you guys want to get some chips and guac as an appetizer?” Basically, how can I eat MORE avocado in this meal?

  1. […] 2. Smoky Chipotle Guacamole Here’s a guacamole style that we’re going to bet you haven’t tried yet. It’s made with the standard mashed up avocado, but has an assortment of additional add-ins that make it more interesting. The smoky flavor comes from liquid smoke, so be sure that the brand you use is made from pure smoke without additional ingredients. The chipotle peppers are sure to give this a bit of heat, so depending on what your threshold is for hot foods, you can add more or less chipotle, or swap them out for a pepper that you handle better, or even leave them out completely.
