Make this peanut salad dressing in five minutes using kitchen staples. It’s full of flavor and delicious on crunchy salads and coleslaws. You can also use this versatile salad dressing as a marinade, dip, or stir-fry sauce.

If you’re a peanut lover, this salad dressing is for you!
It’s a delicious salad dressing that gets its creaminess from peanut butter, so it is 100% dairy-free.
Lime juice, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil give it a flavor that is reminiscent of a Thai peanut salad dressing.
We love it poured over crunchy greens or coleslaw, but it is every bit as delicious used as a dip for chicken or tofu.

Very nice dressing. I served it on a simple shredded romaine lettuce salad with Asian style crunchy noodles on top.
I have been wanted this recipe for years but could not find it. I ate at a restaurant called Hustons in Dallas Texas that’s what they served on salads. I feel in love with it. Thank you so much.
How are the ginger and garlic cloves incorporated in the recipe? Are they ground before mixing with the rest of the ingredients? The steps are not clear.
Thank you for pointing that out! They’re both finely minced.
How can this be gluten free with soy sauce?
Yes it can!
You can buy gluten free soy sauce.
Tamari is traditional soy sauce and can be found without wheat.
Great recipe! I added gochugaru for tad bit spiciness and honey for Thai flavour. Amazing!
Amazing dressing!
I’ve tried some before, but I think the ginger makes the difference 🙂
it is good!!!!!! Thanks’
I would like to make this but use PB2 instead of Peanut butter, do you know how much I would use?
This recipe hasn’t been tested with powdered peanut butter, and I don’t have a lot of experience with it. If you give it a go, let us know if it works!
1/4 cup of the PB2. Water to get the consistency you want.
I tried lots of peanut butter dressing recipes and this is by far the best that I have taken the time to write a review. The consistency and taste is spot on. I didn’t rate it so redid the review to rate 5 stars.
Made it yesterday. I love it. Thank you for sharing it.
It’s a good recipe, but it’s just silly to call it a 5 minute recipe.
It takes us less than 5 minutes to make, that’s why we call it that. 🙂
Can you freeze it/ how long does.it last uth fridge storage?
The dressing will last up to 10 days in your fridge – no longer than that because of the fresh garlic. Peanut butter can be frozen so I suspect that this dressing would freeze well. We haven’t tested it to know for sure, but my guess is that it will work. If you try it, will you let us know if it works?
I made this to go with a broccoli salad. It was delicious.
a peanut dressing that a resturant used over a green salad with a grilled chicken breast. It was in WestTown Mall in the late 80’s. loved it

This looks amazing, Kristen! Do you use fresh ginger or dry ginger powder?
Fresh ginger!
