These striking blue Tiffany mimosas straddle the classy, posh, and fun lines and are just the thing for any winter-themed party or a lux brunch.
This idea for a fun mimosa came from Yuzu Bakes. She shares a recipe for a blue curaƧao mimosa that was made at her favorite cocktail bar. We've taken that idea and combined it with a French 75 to create a version with honey simple syrup and lemon juice. It's delish!
Why is a Tiffany mimosa blue?
Great question! Tiffany & Co. is an iconic jewelry brand that is known for delivering sterling silver and diamond goods in a classic robin's-egg blue box. The parallel to this mimosa recipe is in the distinct shade of blue. This comes from mixing blue curaƧao, sparkling wine, and honey.
What's blue curaƧao?
Blue curaƧao is a liqueur made from laraha orange peel. It originated in the Caribbean, however, is now popular worldwide, especially in tropical drinks. The bitter orange flavor of blue curaƧao mimics the flavors of the orange juice that's typically used in a classic mimosa recipe. And yes, blue curaƧoa is actually a bright blue color!

Recipe FAQs
Are Tiffany mimosas sweet?
This Tiffany mimosa recipe isn't particularly sweet. The strongest flavors will be citrus, from the lemon juice and bitter orange flavor from the blue curaƧao. If you pick a sweeter sparkling wine, you'll have a sweeter drink overall.
Are there any alternatives to blue curaƧao?
Blue curaƧao is essential to getting that Tiffany blue color. You could replace the liqueur with some Triple Sec, however, you're dancing closer to a classic mimosa look this way. If you want to avoid buying a bottle of blue curaƧao, you can use Triple Sec and add blue food coloring until you get just the right shade of blue.
Can I use lemonade in this Tiffany mimosa recipe?
You can use lemonade to replace the lemon juice in this recipe, just know you'll be creating a sweeter cocktail this way.
