This refreshing maple syrup lemonade is the perfect naturally sweet drink for a warm day. With fresh tart lemon juice, pure maple syrup, and water, it’s a simple drink you can make at home in minutes. Mix up a big batch because this sweet-tart maple lemonade won’t last long!

Maple Syrup Lemonade in a glass with a lemon slice

This all-natural maple lemonade is exactly what I want to be sipping on a warm summer or early fall day. It’s bright and refreshing without being overly sweet, which means I can happily pour myself another glass.

I love how simple and flexible this recipe is. The maple syrup adds a gentle sweetness that pairs beautifully with fresh lemon, and it’s easy to muddle in berries or herbs like mint or lavender if I’m feeling creative.

I’ll often mix up a big batch before a dinner party or casual get-together. It’s a refreshing drink that works just as well on its own as it does dressed up, and it’s always a crowd-pleaser.

If you love lemonade, also try my apple lemonade and mint lemonade!

Variations to try

This is a base recipe for naturally sweetened lemonade, and there are lots of fun ways to mix it up:

  • Toss in some fresh fruit like blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, or strawberries
  • Muddle in some fresh herbs like mint, thyme, or lavender
  • Add a splash of fresh fruit juice like pineapple or mango
  • Give it some fizz by topping it with sparkling water at the end

I literally used half of the maple syrup along with chocolate mint and it was perfect! I’d never made lemonade with maple syrup before and love how tasty it is. Good job on the recipe.

A little too sweet for my taste, but I just added a bit more water & lemon juice and it was PERFECT! Far better than lemonade made with white sugar.
