This grapefruit vinaigrette is made with ruby red grapefruit juice and is tangy, sweet, and totally delicious. It will make your salad taste like summer!

This tangy, sweet salad dressing is one of my favorites for instantly brightening up a bowl of greens. It’s light, fresh, and has just the right balance to make even the simplest salad feel special.
I use it on my much-loved baby kale salad with grapefruit and avocado, but it’s just as delicious drizzled over a simple arugula salad. Make a batch once and enjoy easy, vibrant salads all week long.
It also works beautifully as a finishing drizzle over roasted vegetables or grain bowls, making it a versatile staple I love keeping in the fridge.

How long does this grapefruit salad dressing last?
This dressing keeps well for 1 week in your fridge, making it ideal for meal prep.
Can I use store-bought grapefruit juice rather than squeezing it fresh?
Yes, but it may change the flavor if the juice you buy is sweetened or has anything added to it.
If you’re using sweetened, store-bought grapefruit juice, omit the honey in the recipe and only add some if you think it needs some after tasting it.

A delicious, fresh, light dressing! I bought some Bibb lettuce; sectioned fresh oranges and grapefruit; rolled goat cheese into balls pressed with toasted walnuts; and drizzled with your delicious vinaigrette! Thank you!
Your salad looks so beautiful!!
Sounds delicious but why is it called a vinegarette? No Vinegar is used.
In this case, we use citrus as the acid to achieve the ‘vinaigrette’ flavor.
Citronette is the proper term.
You’re right! But since no one in all of history has ever searched for ‘grapefruit citronette’ we use the term vinaigrette, even though it’s technically the incorrect term.
I got a lemon but I forgot put the lemon in my bag at grocery store. I realized that when I making salad. & I had some grapefruit at home. I found your recipe. It was sooooooo good. I like much better than lemon vinaigrette.
Thank you for share the recipe:)
I made this yesterday and it was great. Nice fresh flavor that complimented the arugula salad I made.
Sounds delicious… might have to try this with lemons! IMPORTANT: Many medications conflict with grapefruit so make sure to double check!
