Everyone loves a dipping sauce, especially this Cajun mayo, which is the ultimate smoky-spicy sidekick! Say goodbye to bare potatoes, French fries, sandwiches, burgers, even popcorn chicken or shrimp — in just 5 minutes, you’ll have the best Cajun mayo sauce.

If you enjoy a little zing in your dips and sauces, you’ll love this Cajun mayo. Creamy mayonnaise forms the tangy base, while Cajun seasoning brings warmth, smokiness, and just enough spice to keep things interesting. A small splash of Tabasco rounds it all out with mild heat and a subtle vinegar bite, making it perfect for dunking fries, potatoes, or just about anything crisp and salty.
I love how the mayo softens the spice without dulling the flavor — it stays bold but balanced. You can mix up your own Cajun seasoning or use a store-bought blend. keeping in mind that pre-made blends can vary quite a bit in salt and heat. Either way, this sauce comes together in minutes and disappears fast once it hits the table.

Recipe FAQs
How to store Cajun mayo?
You can store Cajun mayo in the fridge for 10 days. Make sure you put it in a covered container, like a small mason jar, or in a jar with a lid.
Is this Cajun mayo super spicy?
No, it’s not super spicy. It does have some spice, but it’s toned down by the mayo. If you want to make it spicier, you can always adjust the spices used in your homemade Cajun seasoning. To add some more heat, add a dash more Tabasco.
Can I use a different type of hot sauce?
Sure! I like Tabasco for its slightly vinegary flavor, but any Louisiana-style will work great.
