As far as condiments go, sriracha mayo has become quite a staple in our fridge: it’s the perfect blend of creamy richness from the mayo and the fiery kick from sriracha. This flavor-packed condiment adds a zing to everything, from French fries to sandwiches and even sushi!

Fries being dipped into Sriracha Mayo

Sriracha mayo is one of those sauces I always like to have on hand. I use it for everything — dipping fries or veggies, drizzling over poke bowls, and slathering it onto sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. The mayo smooths out the heat just enough, while still keeping that bold, spicy flavor that makes you want to go back for another bite.

Sriracha itself does a lot of the heavy lifting here. It’s spicy, garlicky, lightly sweet, and just a little tangy, and I love how those flavors mellow and round out once they’re mixed with creamy mayo. The result is a sauce that adds zing without overwhelming whatever you’re eating — flavorful, balanced, and incredibly easy to love.

I keep my version simple and pantry-friendly. Creamy mayonnaise forms the base, sriracha brings the kick, garlic powder blends right in for savory depth, and a pinch of sea salt ties everything together. It comes together in minutes, keeps well in the fridge, and somehow makes just about everything taste better.

Variations to try

If you’re feeling playful or want to slightly adjust the flavor, you can do so easily! Here are some ideas:

  • Citrus: A squeeze of lime juice or lemon juice for a bit of tang.
  • Heat: Sprinkle in some chili flakes for extra heat, or kick up the spice level with gochujang for a sweet, smoky heat. A teaspoon of chipotle powder will make a smoky chipotle sriracha mayo.
  • Sweetness: Pineapple juice for a sweetness and flair or spoon in some honey.
  • Pepper: Cracked black pepper for a subtle kick.
  • Herbs: If you’re making it fresh, add some chopped herbs like cilantro or dill.

Ways to use sriracha mayo

Sriracha mayo tastes great on pretty much anything! It’s a versatile condiment that adds a balanced creamy-spice. It works great on burgers, wraps, tacos (like my beer battered fish tacos), and more.

Anther way meal I love to serve with with is my sweet potato roll sushi bowl. And, of course, it makes the perfect dip for anything crunchy, like popcorn chicken or French fries.

Notes

I use garlic granules rather than fresh garlic because they blend better into the sauce and let the sauce last much longer in your fridge. But if you’d like to use fresh garlic, go for it! One clove should do the trick and make sure that it’s very finely minced or (better yet) grated with a microplane. If you use fresh garlic, this sauce will last for a week in your fridge.
