These marry me pork chops are tender, juicy, and smothered in a creamy, garlicky sauce that will win over anyone at the table. Make them tonight—you’ll see why the name fits!

A plate with creamy Marry Me Pork Chops topped with chopped herbs, served alongside mashed potatoes and green beans for an easy dinner.

If you’re looking for a dinner that’s both impressive and easy, these marry me pork chops are it. Tender, juicy pork chops are smothered in a rich, gravy-like sauce that’s creamy, garlicky, and full of flavor—perfect for a weeknight meal or a special family dinner. I love that they’re ready in just 25 minutes, so you get all the indulgence without the long prep or cook time.

These pork chops were inspired by my marry me salmon recipe, bringing the same irresistible, creamy sauce to a hearty pork dinner. My family can’t get enough, and I’ve made it countless times, knowing everyone will ask for seconds. Quick, comforting, and utterly delicious, these pork chops are ones you’ll want to make again and again!

A few things to note about the ingredients

Raw pork chops on parchment paper surrounded by small bowls of oil, flour, spices, garlic, milk, tomato, butter, cheese, and fresh basil—perfect ingredients for an easy dinner or a delicious marry me pork chops recipe.

Pork chops: I prefer to use boneless pork loin chops that are at least 1″ thick for this recipe. If your chops are thinner, I recommend cooking them as I do in my thin pork chops recipe and then adding them to the sauce.

Sun-dried tomatoes: I know these guys aren’t everyone’s favorite. If you don’t love them, substitute diced tomatoes instead.

Storing and reheating instructions

Store: These pork chops store very well, making them ideal for weekday lunches or meal prep. Simply store them in a covered container in your fridge for up to 4 days.

Reheat: I like to slice the chops thin and reheat them on the stovetop over medium heat, adding a splash of water or stock to loosen the sauce. You can also reheat them in a microwave.

  • ½ cup EACH: white wine and chicken stock
  • ¾ cup whipping cream
  • ½ cup chopped sun dried tomatoes

  • Fresh basil (to serve)

Instructions

  • Season both sides of the pork chops with the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Image for recipe instruction: Four raw pork chops seasoned with spices on a wooden cutting board, placed on a white marble surface—perfect for an easy dinner or your favorite pork chops recipe.
  • Place the flour in a wide bowl and dredge each of the pork chops, shaking off any excess flour. SAVE THE REMAINING FLOUR.
    3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Image for recipe instruction: Four breaded pork chops on a wooden cutting board, with one pork chop being coated in flour in a white bowl on a marble countertop—an easy dinner and classic pork chops recipe for any night.
  • Heat the butter and oil in a large, non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove them from the pan.

Image for recipe instruction: Four browned Marry Me Pork Chops are cooking in a white enameled cast iron skillet on a white marble surface, making for an easy dinner.
  • Reduce the heat to medium, add the Italian seasoning and garlic, and cook for 30 seconds. Sprinkle the leftover flour from dredging the pork chops into the pan and stir. Pour the wine and chicken stock into the pan and bring it to a boil, scraping the bottom of the pan to remove any stuck-on bits. Add the whipping cream, and bring to a simmer.
4 cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ½ cup EACH: white wine and chicken stock, ¾ cup whipping cream
Image for recipe instruction: A white pot with black handles containing a mixture of melted butter, herbs, and cream—perfect for an easy dinner or as a rich sauce in a Marry Me Pork Chops recipe—sits on a white marble surface.
  • Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese, and then return the pork chops to the pan. Let it simmer for 5-6 minutes, until the pork chops are fully cooked. Serve with fresh basil sprinkled over the top.
½ cup chopped sun dried tomatoes, ½ cup grated parmesan cheese, Fresh basil
Image for recipe instruction: Four pork chops in a creamy, herb and tomato sauce, cooked in a round, white enameled cast iron pan on a white marble surface—a delicious Marry Me Pork Chops recipe perfect for an easy dinner.

Notes

White wine: Opt for a dry white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc. Or go alcohol-free by substituting chicken stock.
The sauce: You can control the thickness of the sauce by adding more stock to make it thinner, or cooking for an extra minute or two to make it thicker.

Have you ever tried it in a crock pot? Just wondering if they would be more tender? I’m going to try this recipe today on the stove (because I’ve done it with chicken and it’s fabulous). Thanks for posting!!!

I haven’t, but I think it should work well. I would wait and add the whipping cream near the end of cooking to make sure it doesn’t curdle. If you give it a go, I’d love to hear how it turns out for you!
