Ingredients
41" thickpork loin chops
½ teaspoon EACH: garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper
Season both sides of the pork chops with the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
4 1" thick pork loin chops, ½ teaspoon EACH: garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper
Place the flour in a wide bowl and dredge each of the pork chops, shaking off any excess flour. SAVE THE REMAINING FLOUR.
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Heat the butter and oil in a large, non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove them from the pan.
1 tablespoon EACH: butter and olive oil
Reduce the heat to medium, add the Italian seasoning and garlic, and cook for 30 seconds. Sprinkle the leftover flour from dredging the pork chops into the pan and stir. Pour the wine and chicken stock into the pan and bring it to a boil, scraping the bottom of the pan to remove any stuck-on bits. Add the whipping cream, and bring to a simmer.
4 cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ½ cup EACH: white wine and chicken stock, ¾ cup whipping cream
Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese, and then return the pork chops to the pan. Let it simmer for 5-6 minutes, until the pork chops are fully cooked. Serve with fresh basil sprinkled over the top.
White wine: Opt for a dry white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc. Or go alcohol-free by substituting chicken stock. The sauce: You can control the thickness of the sauce by adding more stock to make it thinner, or cooking for an extra minute or two to make it thicker.
