You won’t miss the grill with these easy air fryer BBQ chicken drumsticks! They’re crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and slathered in delicious BBQ sauce. You only need four ingredients to make them, and they’re ready in just 25 minutes!

These air fryer BBQ chicken drumsticks are my current dinner obsession. I love using the air fryer as an easy alternative to the oven, and these chicken legs have quickly become one of my go-to weeknight meals. They come out juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and coated in bold BBQ flavor that goes with just about any side I serve.
What really sells me on this recipe is how simple it is. I lightly coat the drumsticks in olive oil, toss them with a BBQ seasoning for smoky-sweet flavor, then let the air fryer do its thing. A brush of my favorite BBQ sauce for chicken at the end gives them that sticky, saucy finish without any extra effort. It’s the kind of easy dinner I find myself making on repeat.

What to serve with air fryer BBQ chicken drumsticks
These air fryer BBQ chicken drumsticks are a versatile protein you can serve with just about any side. In the pictures, I served them with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and some arugula, but I also love them with Southern-inspired foods like honey garlic corn on the cob or for a more filling side I’ll make apple pie baked beans. A salad like my classic broccoli coleslaw rounds out the meal.
The options here are truly endless!
