If you’re looking for your next summer obsession, this is it. This grilled peach dessert is my go-to every year. It’s perfect for impressing guests, treating yourself, or throwing together an easy dessert that feels effortlessly fancy. I’ll show you just how simple it really is!

When the sun is shining, and the peaches are juicy, THIS is the recipe I make, summer after summer. Whether it’s because it’s too hot to bake, to celebrate the season of stone fruits, or just because I want a delicious treat, this checks the box.
The key is choosing the right peaches and grilling them until the natural sweetness caramelizes… And promise me you won’t skip the ice cream, streusel, and maple caramel sauce. Every element together = pure magic! Get ready for a dessert that looks – and tastes – like you tried way harder than you did.
The best way to grill peaches
- Peach selection: First, make sure the peaches are ripe but still firm. Too soft, and they’ll turn to mush; too hard, and they won’t caramelize. Press your thumb down on the peach – it should give a little bit, but not be mushy. Quarter them to increase the surface area for grilling, and remove the pits.
- Clean grill: You want a clean grill so they don’t stick to anything, and you get those pretty grill lines. Then, preheat it on medium-high heat.
- Oil everything: Brush the peaches, and the grill grates with avocado oil, then grill them for 3 minutes on each side, until they release on their own.
What if you don’t have a grill? ⇢ Use a grill pan! You can find them at your nearest kitchen supply store or online.

Tips for making this ahead of time
- Streusel: You can make this up to 3 days in advance. After toasting it, let it cool completely, then store it in an airtight container at room temperature. Don’t store it in the fridge, as it’ll soften.
- Maple caramel sauce: You can also make this up to 3 days ahead – again, let it cool, then transfer it to an airtight jar or container. Store it in the fridge and reheat it on the stovetop or in the microwave before serving.
- Peaches: Freshly grilled peaches are best for this recipe! You can quarter and pit them a few hours in advance, though.
- Ice cream: Scoop this up right before serving! You can also substitute Greek yogurt.
