Greek Yogurt Caesar Salad Dressing (with lots of flavor!)

My Greek Yogurt Caesar Dressing has all the creamy, garlicky flavors you love, but with a lighter twist. Most of the mayo is swapped for tangy yogurt, with just a touch left for richness.

If you love the rich, creamy flavor of Caesar dressing but want something a little lighter, my Greek yogurt Caesar dressing is the answer. It has all the classic garlicky, savory flavors you’d expect, but I swap most of the mayo for tangy Greek yogurt. The yogurt keeps it creamy while adding a fresh brightness that mimics the lemon juice usually found in Caesar, so you don’t miss a thing. A touch of mayo rounds it out, making it taste indulgent without being heavy.
One of the best parts of this recipe is that it lasts up to 10 days in the fridge, so you can make a batch ahead of time and have it ready for quick lunches and easy weeknight dinners. I love drizzling it over a traditional Caesar salad to lighten it up, tossing it with crunchy veggies, or using it as a dip for raw carrots and cucumbers. However you serve it, it makes eating feel a little more special.
This is the same dressing I use in my arugula Caesar salad, and it’s so good that it deserves a spotlight of its own. Once you try it, I think you’ll find yourself reaching for it again and again—it’s simple, versatile, and delicious.

Greek Yogurt Caesar Salad Dressing (with lots of flavor!)

- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4-6 teaspoons lemon juice (see notes)
- 1 tablespoon anchovy paste (see notes)
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic (finely minced)
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Add the ingredients to a small bowl.½ cup plain Greek yogurt, ¼ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese, 4-6 teaspoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon anchovy paste, 1 teaspoon dijon mustard, 1 clove garlic, 1 teaspoon pepper, ¼ teaspoon salt
- Mix well then either use right away or (ideally) let the dressing rest in the fridge for 20 minutes for the flavors to blend.
- Store the dressing in your fridge in a sealed jar for up to 10 days.
Notes
Lemon juice: The amount I like in this recipe depends on the yogurt – some are more sour than others. I recommend starting with 4 teaspoons and adding a little more if you’d like it more lemony.
Anchovies: If you like a traditional Caesar salad, you’ll like the anchovy paste in this recipe; Without anchovies, Caesar dressing just doesn’t taste right. Anchovy paste lasts for ages in your fridge, and you can add it anytime you want a little umami boost – similar to fish sauce. If you’re vegetarian, I recommend using Ume plum vinegar, as it is salty and a bit pungent, which works well as an anchovy substitute.
