Everyone loves a dipping sauce, especially this Cajun mayo which can only be described as the ultimate smoky-spicy sidekick! Say goodbye to bare potatoes, french fries, sandwiches, burgers, even popcorn chicken or shrimp -- in just 5 minutes you'll have the best Cajun mayo sauce.
Mix until well combined and then put the bowl into your fridge for 30 minutes. (See notes.)
Either serve the mayo or store it in a sealed jar in your fridge for up to 10 days.
Notes
Letting this sauce rest for 30 minutes after you make it is an important part of this recipe. If you taste the sauce right after you mix it, it will be bland and a little gritty. After half an hour, the spices soften and the flavor infuses the mayo and it becomes absolutely delicious. Cajun SeasoningIf you don't have Cajun seasoning in your pantry, you can make your own! This is a half portion of our Cajun seasoning recipe and will make 6 tablespoons. You can use the rest on chicken, salmon, potatoes, or roast veggies!
1 ½ tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon EACH: onion powder and garlic powder
½ tablespoon EACH: thyme, oregano, salt, pepper, and cayenne
