Notes
How long to grill chicken breast:The key to juicy grilled chicken breasts is simple: don’t overcook them. Chicken breast is very lean, and if it stays on the grill too long, it quickly dries out and turns tough. The most reliable way to know when your chicken is done is to use an instant-read meat thermometer. Chicken is perfectly cooked at an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit, and checking the temperature helps you avoid overcooking every time.As a general guideline, most chicken breasts are ready after about 18 minutes on a medium-high grill. Smaller breasts may need a couple of minutes less, while larger ones may need a bit more. I like to grill them for about 9 minutes, flip them, cook for another 7 minutes, then check the temperature. This method keeps the chicken juicy and takes the guesswork out of grilling.
