With over a dozen lemonade recipes on my website, you can trust that I know a thing or two about making lemonade. This ginger thyme lemonade version has a slight zing from the ginger and herbal notes from the thyme. It's delicious!
Lemon slices, ginger slices, and thyme sprigs, to serve
Instructions
Add 2 cups of water, the honey, thyme, and ginger to a small pot over high heat and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Set the pot aside to cool.
6 cups water, ½ cup honey or sugar, 12 stems fresh thyme, 3 inch piece of ginger
Once it's cool, strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher.
Add the lemon juice and the remaining 4 cups of water. If you like, add lemon slices, thyme sprigs, and slices of ginger to the pitcher.
½ cup lemon juice
Either serve right away over ice and garnish with lemon, ginger, and thyme or place the pitcher into your fridge to cool.

Notes
Lemon juice: Fresh lemon juice is best for making lemonade, as the bottled stuff has a funny flavor that will stand out in this drink. Sweetness: I prefer lemonade that isn't too sweet. If you like sweet lemonade, you can add up to 1 cup of honey or sugar.
