Combine the ingredients in a small pot over medium heat. Bring it to a simmer and then continue to simmer for 5 minutes, until the syrup reduces to 1 cup.
¾ cup eggnog, ¾ cup maple syrup, ½ teaspoon rum extract
Let the syrup cool slightly then transfer it to a jar and store it in your fridge for up to a week.
