Mix up a margarita that's as azure-hued as the Caribbean Sea! This blue margarita offers the same refreshing tang and zesty kick as a classic margarita, but adds a summery, bitter-sweet-citrus twist, courtesy of blue curaçao. It's as fresh and delicious as it is eye-catching!
Ingredients
Salt, for rimming the glass - see notes
2ouncesblanco tequila
1ouncelime juice, fresh is best!
½ ounceblue curacao
½ ounce simple syrup, see notes
Lime wedge or wheel , for garnish
Instructions
Place the salt on a small plate and wet the rim of a glass with a lime wedge. Dip the rim into salt.

Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar half full with ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, blue curaçao, and simple syrup and stir until the cocktail is cold.
2 ounces blanco tequila, 1 ounce lime juice, ½ ounce blue curacao, ½ ounce simple syrup
Pour your blue margarita into the salt-rimmed glass and garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.

Notes
Note 1: To make simple syrup, heat 1 part sugar or honey with 2 parts water until the sugar dissolves. For example, 1 tablespoon of sugar + 2 tablespoons water. Or 1 cup of sugar + 2 cups of water. Note 2: If you'd like an extra sweet drink, add more simple syrup. You can also rim the glass with sugar instead of salt.
