Eggnog Syrup

Doesn't eggnog syrup feel like it should be one of Elf's main food groups? This sweet and spiced syrup is the perfect holiday drizzle over pancakes or french toast, or add some to your morning coffee!

– Eggnog – Maple syrup – Rum extract

Combine the ingredients in a small pot over medium heat.

Bring it to a simmer and then continue to simmer for 5 minutes, until the syrup reduces to 1 cup.

Let the syrup cool slightly then transfer it to a jar and store it in your fridge for up to a week.

You can reheat it once, at most twice, however, reheating will start to compromise the integrity of the syrup. More than this is not recommended.

Make sure your eggnog has a long expiration date, as this can impact how long your eggnog syrup lasts. Once the eggnog syrup is cooled, you can store it in the fridge in a sealed container for 5-7 days.
