Hello, Late August! This summer has flown by. I know some of you are holding on for dear life to summer but we’ve had a few cooler days here and I’m loving it. Back to school and fall is always a great time for me to have a fresh start and get back to regularly scheduled programming. It’s my favorite time of year. As a kid, I always loved going back to school. I always had new school supplies, a new schedule, new activities, and a chance to do better. August and September were always my “New Year.” Maybe it was the 20+ years of school but I still feel it today.
Creating healthy snack recipes is always a challenge. I put it up there with making a healthy lunch that isn’t a salad. I struggle. However, with a little bit of planning and/or prep healthy snacks are right around the corner, every single day. Back to school (and back to work) can be a busy time so we pulled together a roundup of more than twenty healthy snacks for kids! They are not just for kids though—they are delicious for everyone.
