Cooking Up an Income – June Profits
It's time to play a little Cooking Up an Income catch-up around here. Hope you don't mind a succession of these post put up here in the next few weeks. I promise there will be lots of yummy food on the way too. 🙂
The Endless Meal's June Earnings:
- Google Adsense -$170.95
- BlogHer – $20.42
- Infolinks – $24.57
- Buy Sell Ads – $78.99
- Ligit – $20.03
- Other – $103
Total blog income: $417.96
Both the income and the number of visitors to The Endless Meal have been holding steady, and I think this is great. I've put in about the same amount of work each month and received similar results. Awesome!
A few Google Analytics stats:
- There were 54,734 people who visited The Endless Meal
- There were 82,031 pages viewed in June
- People spent an average of 2:03 on a page … I think that's really great!
I did some research (i.e.: googled it) and found out that the average person spends less that a minute on a website. I think it's awesome that peeps are spending twice that here!
On a completely off topic side note:
I also found out that the average person spends only 20,160 minutes, or approximately 2 weeks, kissing in their lifetime. That seems like hardly anytime at all! Can you go and give that handsome man or pretty woman of yours a big long kiss so we can collectively raise the time we spend kissing? Kissing is fun; let's all do more of it 🙂
Ok, back to the income report …
I love seeing how many people have stopped by the blog more than once. Thank you for coming back again!
You'll notice a new category under the June earnings: BlogHer. The earnings this first initial month were a lot lower than I was hoping for. Part of that reason is because I didn't start right at the beginning of the month. I am hoping that the other reason is that maybe the advertisers simply weren't paying much in June, which happens sometimes. For now I can't comment too much more about how they are working out as there just hasn't been enough time to really see. I am still excited, and hopeful, that BlogHer will end up bringing a good amount of profit to the blog.
Stay tuned for some more insights to how BlogHer is working out.
Thank you for reading all the way to the end of this. Let me know if you have any questions at all or if there is something you would like me to talk about in an upcoming Cooking Up an Income. I think we can all learn and grow so much faster, and become better bloggers if we are open and share with each other.
