The Best Recipes from 2015
These are the 12 (plus a bonus) best recipes on The Endless Meal in 2015. From reader favourites to personal favourites, you won't be dissappointed.
Welcome to 2016, the first post of the year and one of my favourite yearly rituals. I love looking back at all the recipes that have been posted over the past year and choosing the top twelve. This year I couldn't narrow it down, so you get a bonus.
Some of the recipes (like the Sweet and Spicy Paleo Chicken and the Vegan Purple Sweet Potato Pie) spread like wildfire on social media and quickly became reader favourites. Others (like The Best Green Goddess Dressing and Easy Butter Chicken) are my personal favourite, go-to recipes.
Of the 105 recipes posted to The Endless Meal in 2015, these are the ones you definitely don't want to miss out on. Starting with one of my weeknight favs ….
15 Minute Zucchini Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce
This quick and easy spaghetti recipe is one of my favourite go-to dinners. The sauce is super tasty and can be served over veggie noodles, gluten-free pasta or regular pasta. It's a healthy no-brainer for those nights when you don't feel like cooking.
Sweet and Spicy Paleo Chicken Fingers
This is the most popular recipe on the blog in 2015, and it's easy to understand why. These chicken fingers are easy to make, healthy and are a true family favourite. If you haven't made this recipe yet make sure to put it on your list.
Roasted Veggie Dinner with Almond Lime Satay Sauce
The popularity of this recipe surprised me. I tend to think of it as a “clear out the fridge” recipe. I almost didn't post it as I thought it was too basic. It's an easy and delicious way to use up any veggies that you have laying around in your fridge that are starting to look a little limp.
Whole Roasted Cauliflower with Sesame and Ginger
I could eat a whole head of this cauliflower and call it dinner. It has tons of flavour and is easy to make. It gets extra bonus points for looking pretty.
Vegan Purple Sweet Potato Pie
This recipe took off this past Thanksgiving. Many of you posted your purple sweet potato pie pics on Instagram for me to see – love when you do that!
The Best Green Goddess Dressing
This is still my number one favourite salad dressing. I could eat it by the spoonful. It also happens to be full of good-for-you, healthy ingredients.
Peanut Butter Energy Balls
These little snack balls are full of healthy ingredients that pack an energy boosting punch when you need it. They're easy to make, keep for a long time in your fridge (even longer in the freezer) and pack well.
Smoky Roast Potatoes
Sticky Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
Want to know what the best chicken wing recipe is? This. Yep, this is it. They're crispy, sweet and garlicky and totally delicious. They're also baked in the oven, but you'd never know it.
Sweet Apple Bourbon Baked Beans
This recipe goes over as well at a summer BBQ as it does beside a winter roast. The easy to make beans are sweet, smoky and delicious.
Easy Butter Chicken
This is the butter chicken recipe I've been making for ages, and you'll be surprised at how easy it is to make. For a vegetarian version you can substitute the chicken with paneer or medium-soft tofu.
Apple Pumpkin Oatmeal with Maple Pecan Crumble
This tasty and warm breakfast will see you through all the chilly winter mornings ahead. Make extra of the crumble and dig into this morning meal all week long.
Coconut Red Lentil Peanut Soup
If you haven't yet added this soup to your cooking repertoire I encourage (beg!) you to right away. It's warm, hearty and packed full of flavour. I like to make a double batch to have some around for days.
Oh, yum! So many great recipes! Where to start? Fun post — thanks. And Happy New Year!
Thank you! And happy New Year to you too!!
