Hey guys! Have you ever tried making mayonnaise? You know, like whisking around a few things rather than just opening a jar? If the idea of it intimidates you at all I'd like to you to know just one little thing: it's really really easy! I teamed up with Allrecipes to work on a project to show you just how simple making mayonnaise really is.
Allrecipes is about to launch a brand new how-to section where you can go to learn how to cook and make all kinds of yummy things, including mayo. If you caught the post last week you'll know that you can also go to Allrecipes to learn How to Cook Mussels. 🙂
Making mayonnaise is really just whisking egg yolks together with oil to create an emulsion. You add a little lemon juice to the egg yolks at the beginning then slowly whisk in the oil. The process happens very quickly and within less than 5 minutes you'll have a bowlful of tasty mayo that you can use as is or flavour anyway you like.
You can find the full recipe and instructions, plus some other useful mayonnaise making info over at Allrecipes.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Allrecipes. The opinions and text are all mine.
